A birthday card made for my friend using watercolor technique.
It’s been a while since I used stamp sets to make a card. Last time I was into stamping, Copic Marker coloring was very popular. It seems like watercoloring is in these days.
I was inspired by L’Occitane flier that I saved a while ago.
I tried different watercoloring techniques, like prime the paper with clear water first, then spray with brushes and droppers. Some, I did not brush with water first. Some I held the paper up for colors to drip.
I used Stampin’ Up! butterfly punches and scored the center to make the folds.
Stampin’ Up! Swirly Scribbles Thinlits Dies for the scribbles. Applied clear glue on the back of cut pieces and let them dry.
Stamped a sentiment, and doily from Studio Calico’s Doilies Stamp Set.
My daughter was sweet to let me use sprinkles from her nail art kit.
I’m loving watercoloring for card making!
