Don’t you just love watercolor? I made this card for my soon-to-be sister-in-law’s bridal shower. I looked through my stamp collection and could not find anything for bridal shower theme. But you can’t go wrong with flowers. 🙂
Created watercolor splatter on the base watercolor paper. I made the color spray by mixing Memento Dye Ink Summer Sky and distilled water in the Ranger Mini Mister. And made more splashes with shimmer mists.
I really like Watercolor Wonders stamp set. It was overwhelming to try to figure out how to layer the stamps at first. But, turned out to be easier than I thought since the layering images didn’t have to match perfectly. I liked how the stamp index sheet had the grouping of all the flowers and leaves.
I test assembled the flowers with removable adhesive on a separate card as a guide. For the final card, I used an adhesive runner to attach the leaves and clear glue for the flowers.
I layer stamped using the same dye ink color to make the darker color.
I touched up (put little accents) on the flowers with Tombow Dual Brush Markers.
Finished the card with little sprinkles from Lucky Dip XIV from Little Things from Lucy’s Cards. Well… I actually ended up using a piercing tool to pick each sprinkle and adhere to the card using clear glue. It was very therapeutic. 🙂
