Hello!
I made a simple but fun hybrid scrapbook layout with photos of my son when he was 2.5 year old. He is 5.5 year old now and since yesterday he has been scrapbook. It’s mostly gluing photos on pre-made scrapbook pages that my mom got him. I don’t know if I should be happy he is scrapbooking or worried that my boy is into what I do.

Digital scrapbook kit: Night Owl by Kristin Aagard (Available at theDailyDigi this month. It’s part of the Digi File #18)

You can easily extract photos in Photoshop, but I hand cut my son’s photos after I printed them out.

Pretty pretty fabric flowers! The best part, I didn’t make it. It’s digital embellishments that I printed out and hand cut.

I put a gift card inside the box using my Almost Square Bag template. The gift card was a wee bit bigger then the template, so I made the top arch instead of concave. I like it this way, too.

Layers and layers of fake fabric paper flowers (heehee), attached with 3-d foam adhesive.

Oh yeah, so I made the flower one for a girl and this horsey one for a boy. They are twins and had their 5th birthday party this past weekend. I know it doesn’t look like the typical children designs, but the birthday boy loves animals, and I’m sure the girl loves flowers, too. Their mom (my friend), called me after the party to tell me how wonderful these gift card holders were. I personally loved how it turned out, so I was happy.

I placed a removable adhesive dot behind the frame to keep it close. =)

hello bailey

Here’s a hybrid scrapbook layout featuring my daughter Bailey. She is a beast disguised in sweetness, heehee. She used to be so easy to take care of. I said to everybody that I could have 100 more babies like her. But, ever since she learned to cruise around, she became a totally different baby. After a recent potty incident (don’t even wanna go into the detail), I don’t know if I could handle another toddler. Heeheehee.

Another awesome digital kit from theDailyDigi.com‘s The Digi File. This plus 4 other full kits + templates for only $5! Only available for this month. Every month, The Daily Digi features different designers kits.

hip print box diorama

Hi there!
I’m using another great digital kit from the Daily Digi.

It’s “hip” from Sausan Designs. Isn’t this so pretty?

I used a print box from the Ritz Camera to create this diorama. Put the lid on the back side.

Open the main box to adhere the paper and cut the windows out.

This girl stamp is from Cornish Heritage Farms (School Primer stamp set).
The dress was paper pieced from the digi papers. Colored with Copics and the pink shoes with Smooches.

You can store things like memo pads on the back. Cool, huh! =)
Recycle, recycle, recycle. Or is it up-cycle? Anyway, I used to throw away these print boxes, but I’m glad to use this to create a diorama. I need to make one for my son as well. He gets jealous when I make too many layouts for his sister, heehee. He is sooo much like me!

Only few more days left to get this digital kit plus 5 other full kits at theDailyDigi.com!
Thank you for stopping by! =)
purple flower mini album

Hello~
I’m back with another mini album. This one is 2.5 x 2.5 inches.

I used Just Chill – Relax kit by Joyce Paul Designs. This digital kit is available at theDailyDigi.com this month. This FULL kit plus 6 other designers’ kits/templates for $5!!!

Just like yesterday’s mini album, I used a frame element from the kit to create the inserts.
Printed on 11 x 8.5 Polar Matte Double Sided paper (60 lbs.) from Red River Paper. This time, I printed a darker color digi paper on the back side as well.
Okie… so after assembling the accordion inserts (yesterday’s post)…

Attach the cover (Double sided sticky tape recommended, but liquid glue like Tombow Mono Multi Liquid Glue will work, too.)
I started from the front.
Score the spine (leave enough room).

I was lazy to measure the exact cover size before attaching it to the inserts, and ended up with the huge leftover on the back cover. The paper is so pretty, I decided to keep it.

Score, fold, and trim the edge. This will fold around the inserts.

See the spine?

Since it is an accordion style album, the inserts will fan out like this. I do not like accordion album. I don’t like my pages fly out like this.

So, pull out the inserts and apply glue on the spine. I used Aleene’s Super Thick Tacky Glue. It’s not the best. I like the thickness and how quickly it dries. But, things don’t bond together that well.

Once the glue dries, the spine will be very flexible when you turn pages.
While waiting for the spine to dry, I made a flower for the front cover…

I used Sizzix Bigz Die – Sprial/Garland. I think, it’s for the Christmas tree ornament, but when I saw the die, I thought it would make the perfect flowers. The die cut line is very similar to the spiral paper flowers I made in the past.
BLOG CANDY information on the bottom of this post!!! =)

Roll it starting from the outside.

Squish it down to distress.

I decorated the center with a brad.

okie… I bought the above mentioned Sprial/Garland Sizzix Bigz die back in January or February and got extra to share with some of my blog friends.
I will send one spiral/garland die to three readers to comment on this post.
- SORRY!!! USA and Canada only, please! This die is heavy. =(
- The Bigz die only works on Big Shot or Big Kick. I don’t know if it’ll work on CuttleBug or not. So you need to have the die cut machine. =)
Leave a comment and let me know where you live (USA or Canada), and which die cut machine you own (I’m being nosy here =). I”ll pick FIRST THREE people with these information.
THANK YOU~~~
UPDATE: Tanna, Stephanie, and Eva, I’ll email you to get your addresses! THANK YOU!!!
