Doodle Heart

Eeek~! I can’t believe the V-day is right around the corner. Thank goodness I no longer have to worry about the possibility of spending the day alone. There were many many times that I was dreading this holiday. Or hoping I would meet someone at the last minute and have a romantic v-day dinner together. Well, thank goodness for my hubby! I don’t know what he saw in me other than my good look (heehee =), but because of him, I no longer have to be bitter about being alone.

It’s actually a pencil holder, but I put my cosmetics instead. Yes, my face needs some maintenance. Gosh~ I just hate it when people trying to take photos of me when I don’t have .25″ thickness of make-up on! =) Anyway…
I downloaded the template from Extreme Cards and Papercrafting.

Christmas gift tags for teachers using Purple Onion Designs Logo Stamps.

The green boxes came with the gift cards I bought.
Papers: K & Company.

I’ve been collecting many, many, many stamps since I’ve become addicted to the world of stamping. And I must say the Purple Onion Designs’ have one of the best quality. It stamps so well. I’m a terrible stamper, and I often have to waste lots of papers just to get a good stamped image. But, POD stamps make it easy. It gives me a very clean and even result!

Here’s what my son did with the cupcakes I baked for him.
Geez, I don’t know if I should take this as a compliment or complaint!
Did he think the cupcakes were the yummiest that he decided to create the heart for me with the crumps?
Or did he not enjoy it and decided to play with the food instead?
Well, me being a good mommy, I yelled at him for making a mess for me to clean up and told him I will not bake for him again. Then, we giggled and took photos. Why are kids so silly?

Here’s a sugar cookie I baked for my hubby. But, Kyle ate it because he loved the packaging, heehee.

Okie… look at this!

Heeheehee. I made this blinkie for Purple Onion Designs holiday sale event.
25% off all stamps till December 15th!!!
Do you like it? It just makes me giggle to see the snowman spinning. You could win some Purple Onion Designs goodies by adding this blinkie to your blog and leave a comment on POD’s blog.

So, I was at a doll section at a craft store to buy some wiggly eyes. I saw this straw doll hat next to it. I thought if I put some mistletoe and ribbons outside, it would make a great holiday decoration like a wreath.
Stamps: Snowman with Hangings and Merriness Set

Then, I thought why not decorate the inside, too? Snowman from Snowman with Hangings POD stamp set would look perfect inside.
I also thought about putting a Christmas tree next to the snowman, then decided that a candy cane sticking out from both sides would look cuter.

I don’t know why, but the candy cane reminded me of fireman’s pole. Then, I thought why not make the snowmen into exotic snowgirl dancers, heehee.
Don’t ask me why, but sometimes I get these riddiculous, I mean whimsical ideas for projects. It makes me giggle just thinking about the silly scenes I could create. Heehee.
Stamps: Merriness Set and Arctic Whirlwind (Stamped on a clear sheet with Brilliance ink and added Crystal Stickles on the back)

Oh~, she is so dizzy from all the dancing!
Urmm… I used Glossy Accents to attach the clear circle sheet to the hat, but it didn’t work. So, I ended up melting the edge with a hot tool. As you can see, Glossy Accents glue hasn’t dried yet. It’ll dry clear.

Grrrr~~~! Look at that whip! I mean lights!

My dancing snowgirls!

My family is not going to get a big Christmas tree this year as my almost 2 year old daughter loves to wreck everything. So here it is. The perfect Christmas tree for us. As long as I put it out of her reach, this tree will be safe.
I used Danielle Young‘s Mulberry Paper Pack for this tree.
FREE Mulberry Paper Pack with $5 Purchase from Danielle Young! (offer ends 12/06/2009)
Also used Hugo Toasting Marshmellows stamp from Purple Onion Designs.
2009 Holiday Sale Take 25% off all PURPLE ONION DESIGNS stamps. (December 3rd – December 15th).

It all started from this. I stacked two lids on top of the bottom piece (Small) from Kelleigh‘s Perfect Pumpkin template. And I can’t stop using this PERFECT template!

Possibilities are endless!

Print, score, cut, and put tape (double-sided). Two templates on the bottom are for clear sheet. I cut the side taps off, and glued them by melting it with a hot tool. I used a wrong tip, and had a hard time attaching it together without melting it all away.

Put 3-d foam tapes to make the double stacked lid higher.

Put the bottom piece upside down to stack the tree.

Oh~ Poor Hugo is stuck in the ice!

I got carried away with stacking the lids. Reduced to 90% each time.

Why didn’t I make more!!!

When I saw Purple Onion Designs‘ newest stamp, Cornucopia, I wanted to make a tag with it and decorate it on a basket.

So I made the perfect basket with Kelleigh‘s Perfect Pumpkin Template. Yup, I still haven’t made a single pumpkin with the Pumpkin Template yet. But, I couldn’t help it. This template is so versatile and I get easily distracted while putting pieces together, I end up with something different than the original. Heehee.

Stamp: Cornucopia from Purple Onion Designs.
Coloring: Tombow markers on watercolor paper.
Digital papers and flowers: Heart of Thankfulness by Sugarplum Paperie.
Inside basket: Perfect Pumpkin Template (Small bottom);
Outer layer: Small lid (fan the taps out, poke the lid in).
Kelleigh put a nice Perfect Pumpkin Template tutorial. And she made an apple box!
While I was brainstorming for the basket ideas, I thought why not make them for my family, too!

Normally, paper peeling is very annoying when you use markers or watercolors on papers. But, I used this “paper peeling” technique (heehee) for the fur.

Heeheehee. Did you like all my perfect baksets and houses? Okie, okie, okie… I WILL make a pumpkin with the Perfect Pumpkin Template.
How about…

A pumpkin pie! Heehee.

I wanted a photo of a little girl’s tiny hands holding this cutie pie, but my 22 month old didn’t cooperate.

Pie filling: Small bottom, reduced to 50% (Cut away the outer/bottom flaps);
