TEBB Challenge #7

I LOVE paper tole. I discovered this technique back in 1998 (I think) and this was way way before I knew anything about stamping. I used to order supplies from Australia (papertolekits.com), and I’m so glad to use this technique with my stamped art =)

This little panda is taking his friends and goodies to celebrate The Greeting Farm’s anniversary. Let’s see what he has in his wagons…

Colored with Copics.
He is covered with white Fun Flock (Learned this techique from Prairie Paper & Ink blog by Amy R.

Coloring: Copics;
Cupcake frostings: Flower Soft.

Colorful balls and the birds were colored with Koh-I-Noor colored pencils with Gamsol. Money with Copics.
Hmmm… Where is this blue bird flying off to?

Ha! To allure a little-pinkie-birdie-in-love-with-another-blue-birdie with his (stolen) money. Take the money, girl~! It’ll buy you more stamps! Heehee.

Rolled a piece of patterned paper around a wire. Dab Liquid Pearls on top and colored with Smooch to create the light.
Liquid Applique (with a heat tool) was used for the cake frosting. I was wondering why the Liquid Applique had so smooth surface on this project I made a few weeks ago (soap bubbles – it took overnight for it to dry). I wanted it to puff up. Well, I finally read the instruction today to see if I could speed up the drying time, and duh~! I needed a heat tool! I actually wanted a smooth surface (like fondant) for the cake, but didn’t have enough time and patience to wait for it to dry.

Used a blush powder container (diameter: 2″) for the cake.

Stamps: Panda Friends and Wishing Tree by The Greeting Farm (Pink Poison)

UPDATE:
Urmmm… Why isn’t the Panda in his famous black and white suit? Well, I forgot the stamp set was called “Panda Friends” till I was posting it on the blog. And it was around 1am, I was sleep deprived, and didn’t catch it till now, duh~~! Well, think of it this way, he is in a birthday party costume! =)
THANK YOU!!!
