Do you spy a Little Orange Riding Hood?

My hubby grew this gourd for me to craft with. I thought it would be perfect for Little Red Riding Hood. Felt crafted the basket and arms. Hot glued on the gourd.

Eee~~~k! Spooky~~~ She look more like an alien. I must work on the face drawing.

She looked too scary, I put her on the sideway to hide her face.

Where are you going little orange riding hood alien?

Say hello to Rapunzel the pumpkin! Heehee.

Originally, I wanted to create a tall pumpkin house. Didn’t get a chance to create any doors and windows. But, I thought it would be fun to put Rapunzel on the top of pumpkins.

Nice and long 100% wool hair. Felt crafting.

Made a hole on the fake gourd. Painted inside. Add the hay and leaves.

Kyle’s favorite alphabet book is Chicka Chicka Boom Boom. I thought it would be fun to make the indian alphabets for Thanksgiving decoration.

Painted the styrofoam cone with acrylic paint, and glued felt over it.

Scanned the book. Enlarged it to 110%. Printed on paper. Cut. Put it over felt. Cut it by hands. Some letters were cut using Cuttlebug alphabet die.
Applied fabric stiffener.

Attached the feather head band.

Attached the leaves on the trunk using hot glue.

Heehee.

Harvest Meal – Little Engine That Could

This is my son’s last year at his preschool/kindergarten and I’ve been asked to help out with the table decoration for Thanksgiving meal. Train is Kyle’s favorite thing, so I wanted to have a train theme for the decoration.

I made a felt train. I’ve been fascinated by felt craft and wanted to try. It was painful. Hehe. See the bandages? Hehe. And it was taking me forever to make. But, it was addicting.

I attempted to make The Little Engine That Could train.

It looked more like a grumpy old train. But, turned out okay for the novice felt crafter, huh? Hehe.

It took forever to make, but totally worth it. Kyle wanted to sleep with it. And, he quickly finished his foods and wanted to look at his train at the school.
