Happy [inter]National Scrapbooking Day!!!

Here’s a quick digital scrapbook layout of my daughter when she was tiny.

Using…

Digital Kit: Beautiful Day by MK-Designs (It’s 40% off this weekend!)

To celebrate the [inter]National Scrapbook Day, here is a quick page I made with the kit. You can download this PNG file here (Password: mk-designs). Thank you, Marlies for letting me share this quick page with my blog friends!

Also, Danielle Young is giving away this mini kit, Creative Chicks and more! Head over to her blog to find out how! =)

My sweet girl Bailey is 27 month old and a wee bit behind on talking. Her delay in speech actually makes her cuter. Anyway, my poor little girl! One of her classmate bit her on her waist today. =(

Digital scrapbook kit: Beautiful You by Plum Dumpling Designs
Others: Felt flowers, pearl stickers
Printed on 8.5 x 11 UltraPro Satin paper (62 lbs.) from Red River Paper.

Free layout template is from Sarah Bennett (ScrapMatters.com). I’m participating the Tuesday Template Challenge 04/13.

I wanted to change the background, so I pinned a big white paper on my cork board. And attached the scrapbook layout with a temporary glue tape.

You see the light flare on top left? I need to work on my lighting technique. But, I kinda like it like that. =)

Scrappy Sunday – mini album

I’m hosting the Paper Craft Planet’s Scrappy Sunday.

Here’s my sketch.

Simple, huh~? The sketch was inspired by MK-Design‘s Calendar Set 2010. Also used the calendar from the set.

This is my first time creating a template in Photoshop. And you can download the file here: sb022810sketch (Just the sketch, not the calendar)

And this is my digital layout created in the Photoshop.

And one digital sketch led me to create this hybrid album. I printed the calendar on Kraft cardstock. Printed the photos separately on a photo paper. Cut, and glued on the album pages.

This 4×4 mini album was created similar to the shadow book I made last summer (2nd example).

Looks good even without any photos. =)
I can’t believe it! I actually finished (almost) an album for this year!

This one is for my friend.

Do you want to create a layout based on my sketch? =)
You can participate it here.

ChristmasCard2009-b

Hee hee hee. I mean ho ho  ho!

I wasn’t going to send Christmas cards to family and friends this year, but we’ve been getting some cute photo cards from our friends. And their cute kid photos made me wanna play with mine.

Give me my yummy!

It wasn’t easy taking photos of Bailey. She does not listen, and had to bribe her with chocolate cookies. She got upset, but thank goodness she likes to say, “Cheese” when she sees the camera.

And, Kyle’s photo was taken 6 months ago in the summer. So, I used the digi stocking to cover his bare leg.

Heeheehee. Almost a month after Kyle’s birthday party, I finally sent out thank-you cards today. My husband was saying why even bother sending it out, and I said, “Better late than never!”

Once again, I used Kelleigh‘s Matchbox Template (small) for this “Do-It-Yourself Photo Frame Matchbox Calendar Train Pop-up Thank You” cards. =)

I don’t know if Kyle’s party guests will remember or not, but this Matchbox trains match with the Matchbox travel luggage invitations I’ve made them. I didn’t want to spend $$ on shipping, so I had to stalk them at the school parking lot to give out the invitations, and that wasn’t fun. So I made these thank you trains foldable to put in the envelopes. It still costed me about $1.22 each (siblings got one envelpe) to mail out, but at least I didn’t have to box them up.

1″ square photo of each kid on the front. Put clear epoxy sticker on top to create a window look.

23 thank you cards.
2010 Calendar was a free download from Mushy’s blog. I included a photo of finished train. Hope the recipients will know how to assemble it.

Urmmm… I started out making the chimney with the ribbons like the one on the left. But, as I was stapling it, I thought, putting the ribbon all the way across from left to right would look better. So, I detached some of the eyelets and added longer ribbon strips for some of the trains.

Put it in the clear bags.

Here’s a mock up I created using Simply Scraps’ Toot Too, Woo Woo digital kit.

I’ll be back with more matchbox project tomorrow. I’m participating Kelleigh’s 30 Ornaments in 30 Days.

Thank you as always!
