Last year and the year before, I created 5×5 Christmas cards to send to families and friends. But, this year to save money on postage, I created 5×7 layout. =)

I used “The Magic of Christmas” digital scrapbook kit by StarLight Designs.

I propped my kids up for the photo shoot. Duh~ me! I should’ve avoided all the yellowness. Next year, I shall use a white background.

My kids had more fun taking photos of our hamsters. It was not easy as they were wigglier than my kids. Next year, I shall not include rodents in the Christmas card.

I got my cards printed from Color Inc Pro Lab. And, I was very  impressed with their quality and service. I placed the order on Friday night, and received the package on Monday. I will definitely order from them again.

I’ve been sick since Black Friday with cold and didn’t have whole lot of energy to craft. So, I did simple decoration on the back of the photo cards.

I had so much fun making Christmas photo card last year, I decided to make another whimsical one this year.

Photo cards were printed from Persnickety Prints. I placed the order around 2 am. Received an “Your package is on its way” email around 7 pm! Will definitely order from them again.

I stamped on a 5×5 cardstock, and attached it to the back of the photo.

I love fantasy layouts created with digital scrapbooking kits. And, to improve my skill, I recently took a Shadows class by Miss Behaving. I thought I understood everything right after her class. But, I was so embarrassed how little I remembered the techniques I learned as I was working on this layout. Definitely need to practice more.

An easy way to create a hybrid layout: Just cut the extra elements and add it with foam adhesive! =)

Here’s a hybrid scrapbook layout featuring my daughter Bailey. She is a beast disguised in sweetness, heehee. She used to be so easy to take care of. I said to everybody that I could have 100 more babies like her. But, ever since she learned to cruise around, she became a totally different baby. After a recent potty incident (don’t even wanna go into the detail), I don’t know if I could handle another toddler. Heeheehee.

Birdcage and the bird was cut using Sizzix Tim Holtz Bigz Die (Caged Bird)

Cut flowers from the digi kit. Added ribbons, buttons, and brads.

Hand cut the ribbon and the frame from the kit.

Clear rhinestone on the bird’s eye.

Added more clear rhinestones on the hearts.
