<p>Happy October everybody!</p>
<p>Thanks to <strong><a href="http://scrapstube.de/" target="_blank">Marlies (aka MK-Designs)</a></strong> for this awesome calendar design, I was able to make the 2011 CD calendar. Geez~, 2011 already!</p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-4055" title="MKDesigns-2011_prev03_600" src="http://www.creativityinprogress.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2010/10/MKDesigns-2011_prev03_600.jpg" alt="" width="600" height="600" /></p>
<p><strong><a href="https://ninthandbloom.com/shop/product.php?productid=821" target="_blank">Calendar 2011</a></strong> by <strong><a href="http://scrapstube.de/" target="_blank">MK-Designs</a></strong></p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-4037" title="CIP20100930_009" src="http://www.creativityinprogress.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/CIP20100930_009.jpg" alt="" width="600" height="600" /></p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-4039" title="CIP20100930_035" src="http://www.creativityinprogress.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/CIP20100930_035.jpg" alt="" width="600" height="497" /></p>
<p>Printed on River Linen paper from <a href="http://www.redrivercatalog.com/merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=SFNT&amp;Store_Code=RRP&amp;AFFIL=creativityinprogress" target="_blank">Red River Paper</a>.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-4038" title="CIP20100930_026" src="http://www.creativityinprogress.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/CIP20100930_026.jpg" alt="" width="600" height="600" /></p>
<p>After I made the calendar, I thought this would be a perfect gift for <a href="http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/miathinnes" target="_blank">Mia</a>. So I made a matching 4&#215;4 card to send with the calendar. She was diagnosed with a brain tumor. She is a 6-year-old niece of an awesome card maker, <a href="http://littlesusiecardmaker.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Susie</a>. I was going to send her a card a while ago, but if you know me, you know how I procrastinate! *sigh*</p>

<p>I&#8217;ve never believed in my color printer. I have HP Officejet Pro K550. It didn&#8217;t print well. I mean, it printed the black and white very well, but not the colors. So I used this color printer mainly to print black and white documents, urmmm&#8230; like Michael&#8217;s and A.C. Moore coupons.</p>
<p>Well, it wasn&#8217;t the printer&#8217;s fault. I was using the wrong kind of papers! After reading <a href="http://www.thehybridchick.com/where-to-start/" target="_blank">TheDigiChicks blog</a>, I bought Epson Premium Presentation Matte Photo Paper. And, oh boy oh boy~! Did it make a difference! I have about, urmmm&#8230; over 2,000 digi papers, so I&#8217;ll be printing a lot of those from now on!</p>
<p>Bailey is eating a rice cracker. Kyle took the photo.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1116" title="2009-07-01_057" src="http://www.creativityinprogress.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/08/2009-07-01_057.jpg" alt="2009-07-01_057" width="500" height="333" /></p>
<p>And, I switched the rice cracker with sweet orange slices, heehee.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.creativityinprogress.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/08/POD2009-08-06_09.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1119" title="POD2009-08-06_09" src="http://www.creativityinprogress.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/08/POD2009-08-06_09.jpg" alt="POD2009-08-06_09" width="500" /></a></p>
<p>Stamps: Citrus Sets and Bubble-ma-jig from <a href="http://purpleoniondesigns.com/sneakpeek.html" target="_blank">Purple Onion Designs</a>.<br />
I was mesmerized by <a href="http://paperintheworks.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Kim Teasdale</a>&#8216;s creations using Tombow markers, I gave it a try. And I colored the edges with markers (the technique I learned from <a href="http://purpleoniondesigns.typepad.com/my_weblog/2009/07/whats-the-scoop.html" target="_blank">Purple Onion Designs&#8217; blog</a>).</p>
<p><a href="http://www.creativityinprogress.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/08/POD2009-08-06_05.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1118" title="POD2009-08-06_05" src="http://www.creativityinprogress.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/08/POD2009-08-06_05.jpg" alt="POD2009-08-06_05" width="500" /></a></p>
<p>Base green cardstock: Prima Marketing Rock on Rock Out Collection;<br />
Digital patterned papers: Sugar Maple and Sweet Pea kits by Cory Gammon from ScrapArtist.com;<br />
Coloring: Tombow markers with BrusH2O on Canson Watercolor 90lbs paper</p>
<p>THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!</p>
