I'm still working on it…

can you eat it

Heeheehee. I love creating projects that make me laugh “keekeekee” while I’m working on it. Starving Artistamp’s DoodleFactory Collections make me laugh just looking at the stamps. This month, I’m a guest design team for the Starving Artistamps, and you’ll see a lot more of their little creatures here, heehee.

At first, I was thinking, “can you dig it?” means “can you enjoy it?”. But, I did a little research, and it means, “do you understand it????”. So I crossed out the word, “DIG” and wrote, “EAT”.

I used Mini Album Stand with A Drawer template for the treat wrapper. These are Congo Bars and got the recipe from Bakerella.

Do you see the earring on Cappie?

rolodex style album

Hi there!

Here I used the album inserts (version 2) from the Mini Album Stand with A Drawer template to create this rolodex style album (Couldn’t really find a good name for this project, heehee)

.

.

First, the winners for my giveaways…

Cristina won $10 gift certificate to Kelleigh Ratzlaff Designs.

Adriana won two hybrid templates from my store.

THANK YOU ALL!!!

I’m also giving my templates to Corinne because she was the first one to congratulate me on my post (heehee), AND she sent me $50 gift certificate to Red River Paper. Because she wanted to pay me for de-cluttering MY crafting room. Heehee. THANK YOU Corinne!

.

.

Here is the basic assembly for the Mini Album Stand with a Drawer template.

This is the album stand. Print, score, cut, and fold.

After putting it together (good thing I didn’t use the strong adhesive), I decided to decorate it with some eyelets.

Mark the holes where the eyelets will go in.

Open it up. Punch the holes out.

Put eyelets to decorate.

Print, score, cut, and fold the album covers. Small one goes on the front. The one on the bottom goes in the side (if you decide to make an album instead of a box).

This is the version 1 for the album inserts.

(TIF file comes with layered masks for you to drop digital papers/elements and photos)

Put the adhesive on the side panels and attach the album inserts.

This is for using one strip of album insert.

Glue the end panels together to connect multiple inserts.

Tada~

Attach it to the album cover.

If you want to glue the inserts to the spine…

Stretch the spine with a bone folder or a pen by holding the one end of paper and with a bone folder rub/stretch on the spine. This way, you won’t get hard crease when you open the album.

Pull the inserts out, and apply the glue on the spine. Use the glue that dries clear and FLEXIBLE.

.

.

This is the album inserts version 2. It has the tabs for glueing.

Attach it to the album cover.

To connect multiple inserts, fold the tab, and align with another insert to glue together.

Attach it to the album. You can glue the spine like the insert version 1.

Tada~

.

.

And to make the rolodex style album…

Attach the version two inserts together without the album cover.

Bunch/fold it together and apply the glue inside the ring.

Add a pencil and roll it around so the glue will get on the pencil as well.

Hold it while the glue dries. About 300 hours!

Just kidding! Heehee.

Put the ribbons around while the glue dries. Space out the panels to equal distance.

Of course, add the photos on the insert panels before assembling it. =)

Thank you~~

First of all, I want to thank everybody who loved The Greeting Farm Carnival projects I made and voted for my team! THANK YOU!!! We made to the final round! Yay!!! THANK YOU!

Danielle Young created another beautiful digital kit, Blessed Blooms and it is available exclusively at The Daily Scrapper! I love the flower elements in this kit, I wanted to emphasize it on my project.

I printed many many flower elements (all same size), cut, distressed, and skewered it on a florist wire (used glue to attach) to create the flower. Added a white pom pom and few beads as well.

Album is about 2.5 x 2.5.

I bent the wire and put in the album to create a different look on the album stand.

And I even made a box to slide in on the side. This mini album with a box template will be available on May 1st. I’m opening my shop! Heehee.

Thank you!
