Bombshell Blog Hop

Heeheehee. I bet you never expected me to use such a wild image for my project. Heehee. It’s “Man’s Ruin” stamp set from Bombshell. My friend, Stephanie sent me the stamped image. And with her encouragement, I’m playing February Bombshell Blog Hop: Mama Said Knock You Out! It’s to use the punches or diecuts on the creation.

I used the paislee Nestability die to cut the girl image. Colored with colored pencils and ordorless mineral spirits. And used handheld circle and border punches on the back. It’s a gift card holder.
All supplies from the February Taylored Expressions Key Ingredients. And the pink and black color scheme was inspired by TE’s Subscriber Challenge: Choose a pop of color.
Since Stephanie’s blog name is “Pink Star Creations“, I thought pink would be the perfect pop color on this project.

And look at this! I won this January Bombshell goodies by leaving a comment on Steph’s blog when she did January hop.
BTW, Steph has a HUGE blog candy giveaway on her blog right now. Woohoo!

And, don’t forget to check out all the fabulous projects by Bombshell lovers and leave comments! You might win the prize like me! =)

When I started stamping, I was laughing at the crafters who were making boxes, and bags. Didn’t understand why they wasted their time and papers on those. Hehehe. And look at me. I do a lot of 3-d projects. I can’t help it. When I see beautiful stamps, and craft supplies, I feel the need to make it into houses, boxes, bags… someting puffy. It’s all Kelleigh’s fault. Hehe. If I didn’t discover her wonderful templates to play with for my guest design work for the Purple Onion Design stamps, I wouldn’t be writing this post. Heehee.
I had so much digital scrapbook kits, but didn’t really use them to create hybrid (combining traditional and digital elements) projects. But, I learned a lot from Kelleigh’s tutorials (also on theHybridChick blog) and now I am very comfortable making hybrid stuff. I am a hybrid girl!
And guess what! Last month, Steph from theDailyDigi asked me to join their hybrid team! And you don’t say no to the theDailyDigi! I am very grateful! What an honor!
For $5 at theDailyDigi, you can get THE DIGI FILES (Six huge digital collection and one set of layered templates from different designers). It changes every month. Check it out here! =)
I used Mari Koegelenberg’s Printable CD Card with Additional Pockets and Wraps to create this hybrid card. All other items are from ”From the Files” (theDailyDigi chose one item from each designer’s contributions). BTW, Mari is one of the featured designer at theDailyDigi this month.

Thanks to LAD for letting me play with their newest stamp set, A Little Love. It is very adorable stamp set and will be passed down from generation to generation. Okie… my son and daughter will have to fight who will get to keep this one, heehee.

I wasn’t really sure what I wanted to put in the heart basket even after I printed and cut the template out. But, I had a chance to talk with a TheDigiChick CT, Sinead about paper flowers, and got totally motivated to create these flowers. This time I used the ribbons instead of the papers. I wanted to make more flowers, but only had 3 lollipops, heehee. Tied with pink waxy floss. A big thanks to Sinead for giving me the inspiration!

Christmas gift tags for teachers using Purple Onion Designs Logo Stamps.

The green boxes came with the gift cards I bought.
Papers: K & Company.

I’ve been collecting many, many, many stamps since I’ve become addicted to the world of stamping. And I must say the Purple Onion Designs’ have one of the best quality. It stamps so well. I’m a terrible stamper, and I often have to waste lots of papers just to get a good stamped image. But, POD stamps make it easy. It gives me a very clean and even result!

Here’s what my son did with the cupcakes I baked for him.
Geez, I don’t know if I should take this as a compliment or complaint!
Did he think the cupcakes were the yummiest that he decided to create the heart for me with the crumps?
Or did he not enjoy it and decided to play with the food instead?
Well, me being a good mommy, I yelled at him for making a mess for me to clean up and told him I will not bake for him again. Then, we giggled and took photos. Why are kids so silly?

Here’s a sugar cookie I baked for my hubby. But, Kyle ate it because he loved the packaging, heehee.
Papers & ribbon: Stampin’ Up!
Merry Christmas!!!

I’ve been thinking about what to make for my crafty friends for the holiday cards. I wanted to make something that they could add their creativity into. Initially wanted to make 3×3 mini albums for them to use, but they might not like mini albums like I do. Well, I decided to make do-it-yourself desktop calendar instead. I only made the page for December 2010, and hopefully they’ll create the rest of the months, heehee. I’ll include the calendar print out for them to add to their layouts.
Thanks to Lizzie Anne Designs for letting their Monthly Mix customers to participate in their holiday blog hop!

my dog sparky

This is my dog, Sparky.
Well, actually, he wanted me to call him, “Sparkle”. But, no boy should have a name like that! It took me a long time to convince him that pink should not be his favorite color. Now he wants to be a dog named Sparkle! Ugh! And his teacher thinks he should take ballet lessons! Ackkkkkk~!!!! I already have a cute daughter who looks like a boy (Thank goodness for her long hair though!) I don’t need my boy to be girly.
Digi frame: Cream & Sugar Page Kit by danielle

I made him make his own dog tag. He wanted to sparkle up his collar with A Muse Twinkle Stickers. I usually cut up the gems one by one with an exacto knife, but he just ripped it up from the sticker backing.
He IS a BOY!

Stamps: Animal Wishes, Tractor from A Muse
Clear Tag: Tim Holtz Idea-ology Fragments: Clear Charms
Stamped with Staz-on ink and colored with Copic.

And here is my tag. Created for A Muse Lounge Challenge #10: Tag, You’re It!!

Hope you had a nice Thanksgiving. Mine was crazy. 27 people in my small house! I was so tired, I didn’t even go out for shopping on Black Friday (GASP!!!!!!!!!!!!). Instead, I baked some cookies.
I wanted chocolate cookies, but didn’t have any chocolate morsels, so baked snickerdoodle instead. Found the recipe from Martha Stwart cookie magazine/book that I bought 3 years ago, but never baked anything from it till now.

Here’s my very first attempt at baking cookies from scratch (with my son’s help). Heeheehee. I thought I smelled something burning in the oven. Well, at least some came out okie, and it was yum. Maybe I’ll get btter at baking if I practice more.
THANKS~~~

Lizzie Anne Designs Sketch Challenge #101.
It’s Wendy’s sketch and she is one of my favorite paper crafters. I was inspired by her card. She used ribbons on her Christmas ornaments and it looked like they were hung. So, I wanted to hang my stamped (and cut) images as well. And, since I don’t care for cats, I wanted to torture them by tying them up, heehee. I know, I am so wicked. My husband tells me that all the time, heehee. But, it’s okay to make a spooky (but cute =) card since it’s a Halloween themed project. I hope those creepy cats don’t haunt me in my dream tonight. Eeeek~~~!!!

Papers: Lizzie Anne Designs Digital Papers – Spooktacular (It was a freebie for LAD Monthly Mix members)
Stamp: Lizzie Anne Designs Hallow’s Eve (I won this stamp set from LAD summer 2009 release contest, heehee)
Speaking of winning LAD stamp set… Lizzie Anne Designs is looking for a guest Rockstar Stamper. If you are chosen, you will get to choose a stamp set of your choice! Check this post for more detail.
BTW, “Take Care of My Cat” is name of a Korean movie. Okie, off to do some laundry folding and tv watching.
