almost square bag and matchbook album

I love making things in small sizes. Perhaps it’s because I’m petite. Even though I hate people calling me shorty, I guess I’m comfortable in my tiny suit (I just watched Iron Man movie, heehee) and tend to adore miniature stuff.
Anyway, did I mention I love making mini albums?
I’ve just released a mini matchbook album and an almost square bag templates. It’s 20% off this weekend only. =)

The front flap has tabs on the side to close. Hmmm… It looks more like a box now that I’m looking at it. Guess I’ll add some straps on the side to make it look more like a bag.

It can hold 3×3 mini cards with matching envelopes.

Matchbook album can also fit inside.

Digital embellishments: Inchies by ON Designs
I’ll give away both templates to the first person to comment on this post.
UPDATE: Thanks, JO! I’ll email you the coupon code shortly.
THANK YOU~~~

So many moms worked very hard to plan this school gala, and I wanted to surprise them with little gifts.
3×3 handmade mini card albums.

For 17 committees and volunteers. 10+ sheets of papers each for 10 teachers/staff to sign. Lots and lots of paper cutting!

Bookbinding technique learned from Journals 3 Ways workshop by Karla Dudley.

My adorable daughter, heehee =)
I put photos of committee members’ kids on their album.

I asked the teachers/staff to sign it.

I made all the inserts first and still had no clue how I was going to make the cover. Then, I saw this card on the October Afternoon blog, and completely fell in love with the simple yet beautiful layout. I used the apple punch instead since the green apple was part of the gala theme.
I wanted to surprise the committees, but I was surprised to find how much they appreciated my little gesture. I am a card maker/paper crafter, but I didn’t know people love receiving handmade cards. So, I was thankful my time and effort was well spent.

Kyle said Who’s That Girl stamp looks like me. I guess even he thinks I’m a shopaholic. Geez~, thanks~
Created for My Favortie Things Kit Challenge: More is More (I added a lot of photos =)
All supplies from the August 2009 Kit;
Pink cardstock: American Crafts;
Patterned papers: Basic Grey;
Coloring: Copics;

I totally copied the brads on the shopping bag idea from Christina.
Photos were taken at the Hershey Park 3 weeks ago.
I showed this 3×3 shopping bag album to Kyle, and he looked at me like, ‘What Happened in Hershey Stays in Hershy.’
Nah~ It was more like ‘Where are all other fun photos like swimming, riding, etc.???’ look.
Too bad!
Mommy likes to distort the facts and the real life stories must sacrifice for her stamps!
=)
Thanks~

My dear daughter will start a new school next month and I’m worried. What if the kids at the school are mean to her just because she is beautifullier (hehe) than them?
Urmmmm… She is not yet 20 MONTHS old and starting a PRESCHOOL. Heehee.

It’s okay little girl. Don’t be scared. It’s okay to be cuter than other kids. Poor thing~! Her hair is falling out from the stress.

Don’t be intimidated by this know-it-all girl. I’m sure she has the dark side, too. You see the dark circles under her eyes?
Coloring: Copic markers.

These girls seem to be fun to be with!

A drama club queen was colored with Koh-i-noor colored pencils.

This hippie girl was colored with Copic markers.

Geez! Is this what girls these days wear to school! What has the world come to!

Hey you there! Wipe off your drool! And STAY AWAY FROM MY DAUGHTER!

On second thought, You CUTE~~! Do you care for an older woman? Heehee.
Voulez-vous jouez avec moi?
Do you want to have a playdate with ………………………… ME?
Ce soir~?
*sniff* *sniff* Do I smell a Desperate Housewife here? Hehehe

Coloring: Tombow markers on Canson watercolor paper.

Stitching the preschool style~!
Well, I couldn’t tighten the tension on my sewing machine (It has gone mad just like the owner!) and couldn’t get the clean stitches.

Hand-stitched to create the doll as my sewing machine wasn’t working properly.
Stamps from the Greeting Farms:
Wild Sprouts Annika and Reeta, Showtime, Hippie Anya, and Dress Me;
Patterned paper: s.e.i. Mimosa;
Ribbon: WeR Memory Keepers;
Buttons: The Cat’s Pajamas (My son bought this from a local stamp store recently. Just like me, he HAS to buy something every store we go to. *sigh*)
This 3×3 album/card was created for the Greeting Farm’s Farm Fresh Friday challenge, “Sew Simple”.
Au revoir!
Merci beaucouche!

Created this 3×3 sticky note booklet cover for the My Favorite Things Challenge Week 12: Back to School!
Well, I do not have any school theme stamps from MFT. So, I decided to create school theme related project. It’s from a nursery rhyme, “Mary had a Little Lamb”. The song goes, “It followed her to school one day, school one day, school one day…”
Photo was taken two years ago for Kyle’s first day at his preschool.

Oh CRAP! Somebody is not potty trained!
Well, I don’t think anybody would mind some droppings if they are Swarovski Crystals. Hehe.
I’m in LOVE with Marvy Uchida Puff Pen. If the smell wasn’t too bad, I would’ve kept adding the layers and layers and layers of wool.

Stickers: Jolee’s;
Patterned papers: Luxe Designs;

Stamps: It’s Elemental; Baby First;
Urmmm… I bought this Books a la carte for the 3×3 sticky note cover template. I don’t think it’s a necessary tool since if you know the measurement, you don’t really need this tp draw/cut lines. I bought it cuz it was on sale at Michael’s. Hehe.
Baaa~~ baa~~ Thank Ewe~!!!
