Creativity in progress

I'm still working on it…

Cards

Number of View: 711

These past two weeks, I’ve made a lot of cards. Making cards don’t come easy for me. Often times, I would spend many hours on a card only to throw it away because it just didn’t look good. Though I can’t say I LOVE all the cards I made, I’m happy that I got to practice a lot these days and hope to get better.

Stamp: Stampin’ Up! Aviary
Pattern paper, button:  Springtime Vintage

I made lots of cards because I now sell handmade cards at my parents’ cafe/salad bar. This way, I would make cards regularly rather than just hoard supplies.

Stamp: Stampin’ Up! Apple Blossoms (Level 2 Hostess Set)

I love these simple cards, but haven’t sold them yet. =(

Stamp: Stampin’ Up! Simply Thanks

Valentine Hop

Happy Valentine’s Day everybody!

I’m participating Valentine’s Day Blog Hop organized by Taylor Usry. We have over 40+ participants and 19 sponsors giving away a total of 21 prizes!

If you came to my blog from Karin, you came to the right place. If not, you can start from Taylor’s blog.

I used Amber Ink’s iPaper (Picnic Gingham: Tiny) on Choco House Box template. Simple and I like it.

I used Choco House Box template for this birdcage as well.
Stamps: Aviary from Stampin’ Up!
Accessories: Pretties Kit

Print Choco House Box template. Mask the top portion with a paper, stamp a birdcage stamp using Stamp-a-ma-jig.

I didn’t like the white space.

So I drew the lines with Stampin’ Write markers. It would’ve been easier to draw the lines before assembling the box.

Here’s the list of AWESOME companies donating prizes!

Choco House Box Template and Springtime Vintage Kit

Number of View: 2735

Hi everyone! I’ve finally made another hybrid template! =)

It’s Choco House Box template. Comes in two sizes. You can fit Artist Trading Cards inside the larger box. When I have a hard time coming up with a name for a new template, I ask my son. He first said it looked like a chocolate box even though it wasn’t in brown color. Second time I showed him, he said it looked like a house.

I have another item added to Little Potato House store. It’s a paper craft kit using Stampin’ Up! products. It’s a great way to stock up on Stampin’ Up! Collections affordably. My first kit consists of Springtime Vintage Suite (Occasions Mini Catalog January 4 – April 30, 2011).

6  – 8.5″ x 11″ sheets of Stampin’ Up! Smooth Card Stock (3 Chocolate Chip, 3 Very Vanilla)
24 – 6″ x 6″ sheets of Springtime Vintage Designer Series Paper
6 – Vintage Flower Adornments
6 – Rosettes
12 – Springtime Vintage Big Designer Buttons
6 yards – 1/2″ Seam Binding Ribbon (Baja Breeze, Crumb Cake, Pear Pizzazz, 2 yards each)

All this for $16.95 (Plus $5 Shipping & Handling). AND you’ll receive Choco House Box Hybrid Template for FREE!

Mini Milk Carton Lamp

Number of View: 4327

I told Emily that I would make a Chinese paper lantern template before Chinese New Year (tomorrow). But, I don’t have it yet. Sorry Em! In the mean time, I made a lantern with Stampin’ Up! Mini Milk Carton Bigz L Die. =)

I cut one piece with purple cardstock and one piece with clear plastic sheet.

Trim the Milk Carton die cut to make the box.

I’ve been looking for the perfect adhesive for plastic sheets, and so far Sinbad Glue has been working out for me. It’s bit smelly (but not worse than Zip Dry). But, it is non-toxic. It bonds almost instantly and clearly. Dries quicker than hot glue!

Using the left over body piece from purple cardstock, make the base. Use circle punch to cut the bottom.

With a thick rope twine, make a knot, and put it through the lid. I used Zip Dry glue and some clips (while the glue dries) to secure it together. NOTE: Score lids (to make triangle shapes) before assembling like I did with Milk Carton Hexagon boxes.

Decorate.

It would look pretty filled with candies, too.

If you purchase Stampin’ Up! Mini Milk Carton Bigz L Die during SAB I’ll send you a Basic Rhinestones (Or Basic Pearls)! And remember, if you spend $50, you get a free SAB product as well! What a deal!!!
