Mini Play-Doh Covers

Hiya~!

I love giving Play-Dohs for kids party favors and decided to decorate them for Easter.

I made three different ways to cover them.

.

First, with flower die cuts.

Use Stampin’ Up! Flower Folds Bigz Xl Die on Big Shot Die-Cut Machine to cut some cardstock papers. I used the second large flower from the die. It comes with score line, so very easy to assemble.

Add 3-d adhesive dots on the bottom of Play-Dohs, and attach the folded flowers.

Use buttons, ribbons, and other embellishment to decorate the outside.

I’ve used Ice Cream Parlor Quick Accents and Ribbon & Button Pack. You can get this product for FREE when you spend $50 during SAB 2011!

.

For these pleated style wrappers,

Cut pattern papers into 12″ x 1.25″. Score and accordion-style fold every .25″.

Designer Series papers: Ice Cream Parlor

Cut one folded panel off from one side and attach both ends to make it a ring.

Hot glue the Play-Doh side (close to the bottom). Slip the folded paper ring around the Play-Doh. Quickly press it to the glue.

.

For these, I used the same style as my Santa Sleighs.

Cut papers into 6.25″ x 1″. I used clear Scotch tape to close the ends. Decorated with Ice Cream Parlor Quick Accents.

I’ll be back to show you what else I did with these cuties. =)

How cute are these? Almost too pretty to open. I guess the children will tear them open (gently, I hope) but I would use them to decorate for Spring and Easter.

How do you come up with these ideas? What a great way to decorate (and give away) these little Play Doh cups!
