Little Lizzie

Hi there!
Isn’t she a darling? It’s Little Lizzie from Lizzie Anne Designs. I colored her with colored pencils.

Added little lace under her skirt.

My kids are into crocheting and knitting these days and I thought it would be cute for a Lizzie to hold a yarn.

I made a pom pom though. =)

Mini Milk Carton Boxes

I love to modify printable templates, die cuts, and punched out pieces, and I gotta say this was one of the easiest 3-d craft alteration.
WARNING: Lots of photos on this post. =)

I cut Stampin’ Up! Mini Milk Carton Bigz L Die using Big Shot Die-Cut Machine.
Stamp: Stampin’ Up! Birthday Bakery (Level 1 Hostess Set.)

Fold paper on score marks, apply adhesive to make the milk carton. No alteration made. Just added some decoration.
-

For this hexagon box,

2 Mini Milk Carton die cuts. Cut one panel off from each piece.

Because of the die cut only has spout score marks on one side,

I scored the triangular shape on the middle panel just like the other two. So easy to do.

Fold paper on score marks. Adhere the side tabs and bottom flaps together to create the hexagon box.
Valley fold the top to make triangular shapes.

You can push the top in gently to close the box. But, after a few minutes it pops right back out.

So I put little bit of Aleene’s Tack-It Over & Over glue (dries clear), and that helped the top to stay closed for a longer period of time =). But, I like it without closing the top, too.
-

This is a two-piece hexagon box.

2 Mini Milk Carton die cuts for the lid, and 2 die cuts for the box. Cut one panel off from sides.
For lids, cut the bottom parts off. For the box, cut the top parts off.

I cut little bit off the from the sides of the box so the lid can fit better.

For lid, same fold as the yellow box.

Oh so pretty box with the lid!
-

For the red box with the pink lid, I mountain folded to make triangle. See the difference?

Push the top inside to make a flat lid. You can also create this top with a one-piece hexagon box.

If you put something inside, the lid will closed flat.
It’s pretty as it is, but I wanted try a puffy look, like a muffin top.

So I added some clear lacquer glue inside the lid (valley folds).
NOTE: I ended up using hot glue cuz I didn’t wait long enough for the clear glue to dry.

Put some weight on top of the lid to keep it close, but not too heavy to make it flat.

While waiting for the glue to dry, I made a felt ball to put on top of the lid.

Added some snow flakes and glitters. Flowers on red cardstock is Basicgrey rub-on.

Don’t you wanna make them, too? =)
