Ribbon Cupcakes

OMG~! Has it been a month already!
It is the time to pass my Amber Ink torch to a fabulous card maker, Emily! I drool over ALL her creations. I’m always amazed with her awesome cards and wish that I could be as artistic as her! So glad to call her my friend.

Here is how I made the cupcake covers.
I used five 2″ scallop circles and one 2″ circle punch.

Score to make three sides. Doesn’t the white one look like a cupcake?

Put glue on two side tabs.

Attach it together.

Put glue on the bottom tabs.

Attach the circle.

Roll the ribbons around and put it in the cup.

Digi stamps: Cutie Pie: Little Things
Coloring: Copic markers

A cute way to package ribbons!
MANY MANY thanks to Wendy who passed her torch to me, and to Amber and Pam for giving me a wonderful time at the Amber Ink! And EMILY for carrying the next one!

Kyle’s 6th Birthday Party

I wanted an astraunaut theme party.

Kyle wanted a racing car birthday cake.

But, when we went to order the cake, he changed his mind and wanted a construction site cake instead.
I’ve already prepared everything for racer going to the moon theme and had to add construction trucks to the scene at the last minute. =)
A racer/astronaut/construction worker birthday party!

Race cars, construction trucks, moon balls and rockets.

I meant to create moon craters with candies and outer space foam stickers, but ended up just piling them up.

Construction site on the moon.

Moon dirt racing. Yellow is Kyle’s new favorite color.

All the gumball favors packed and ready for the party.

Space rockets waiting to be launched. Heehee.

All party items neatly packed in the trunk.

The birthday party was at a moon bouncing place about 50 minutes drive from us and for most of our guests. I wanted our guests to feel it was worth the driving. It looked great to have party favors on the table. But, was a bit chaotic cuz kids wanted to open them up instead of eating pizzas/cakes first.

I also took instant photos of all the kids. And it was an instant hit by the parents! They were surprised to see the polaroid camera again. I have Fujifilm Instax MINI 25 Instant Film Camera (White).

I wasn’t going to throw a birthday party for Kyle this year. Because kid birthday parties are expensive if you are having at a party place. And, knowing me, I would spend way too much time and money on decoration/favor. But, Kyle was like “What about my birthday party?” when we were going to his friend’s party. So, I felt guilty and changed my mind.
His party was at House of Bounce, and this is third time we had Kyle’s birthday party here. I wasn’t going to book this place again because one girl broke her arm last year when she didn’t land properly from the slide. I felt terrible for her and her parents. But, the staffs are really nice and very accommodating, great for the private party, and the price is better than other birthday party places around here. So, I went with them again. Thankfully no one got “seriously” hurt this time! *whew*
