ny dessert table – shopping bag cookies

Cookies in the shopping bags. I mean, NY City is the place to shop, right? =)
I gave the shopping bag mock-up to the mom who baked these Cranberry Pistachio Icebox Cookies, and she baked it to fit in the bag.

I made 30 of these.
Printed the school logo on the white cardstock papers, and added the handles. It took me a long time to make it, but it was so worth it too see people loving it. Heehee.
ny dessert table – yellow cab name labels

I had to make the name labels for all the desserts we had since it wasn’t me who baked all the yummies. The color theme was green and white, but I had to use yellow taxi on the dessert table. I mean, New York City is not the same without them, you know. And you know how the cabs have the advertising thing on top of the roof? That’s how I was inspired to create this dessert name labels.

Urmmm… Can you figure this out? LOL!
I used 5 x 3.5″ yellow cardstock to make the taxi.
Light green is where you put adhesive to glue together. And the dark green, you put the glue on the back side of the cardstock (for the car hood and trunk). It was really easy to make, but can’t explain it well. Oh well~ Heehee.

I used tiny black buttons for the wheels. Does it look like taxi to you?
ny dessert table – Empire State Building

Okie, I know this does not look anything like the Empire State building, but I was inspired by it. I wanted to have some high-rise buildings to represent Manhattan. And I thought stacking some cubes/blocks would look somewhat like a building.

I used thick book boards to make the towers. Lots and lots of glues. And lots and lots of coat of white spray paints.

My apple trees!
I still have tons of left over pom poms from my daugther’s 1st birthday party, I decided to get rid of some of them =)

I used Glossy Accents to attach the beads and the lollipop sticks to the pom poms.

Punch a hole (you won’t be able to see it =) to mark where you want to put the lollipop stick.

Put the glue (Glossy Accents) on the stick and push it in the pom pom.

Green Easter grass and M&M for the fillers.

Thank goodness for the catering manager at the restaurant! I had so much to set up and not enough time. But, she was kind enough to help me putting things together. I don’t even wanna think about what would’ve happened if she didn’t offer to help.

Color theme was apple green and white.
I got the table border trim/ribbon from JoAnn.
