bird house template

Here’s a little bird house for ya. I was inspired by the bird house element from For the Birds digital kit by One Little Bird. The kit is available at theDailyDigi (The Digi Files #15) this month.

It’s a bird house box.

I printed the bird house elements on the papers and cut around to make the box.

Then, I actually made the templates in PDF file for you to make your own birdie house (Download link on the bottom of this post). It’s a bit different than the above one. Made it easier to assemble (I think =)

Bird house box top/body

You’ll notice the sides are longer the body. It was my attempt to create some padding, so it can fit snuggly over the box.

It’s easier to glue both sides to the body first before making the padding.

I reduced the bird house element to 69% and attached it to the front and the back body.

Box bottom

Assembled box on the left. Box base on the right.

Here’s another one.

Papers: American Crafts; Bird chipboard: Basic Grey

And here is the pdf files (.zip): Bird house box

Thank you!

Sorry about that. I changed my blog theme a while ago and it changed the format, and the file link was not as noticeable as before. I’ll go fix that now. Also, here’s the link: http://www.creativityinprogress.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/birdhousebox.zip
Thank you for your visit and I’ll make it available for different file format (e.g. TIFF, SVG, WPC, etc) in the future.
