happy new year!!!

I started out the year 2009 with resentment. I was angry and unhappy. We had lived with in-laws for 5 months in late 2008, and it wasn’t easy. I was a coward to let them know how I felt, and instead let it out on my hubby. It was ugly. We yelled at each other even in front of our kids. Said horrible things to each other… Very stressful.

Anyway, thanks to my very patient hubby, things got better. He let me spend a lot of $$ and time on paper crafting for being civil with his parents (heehee). Though I’m still not happy with in-laws (but who does!) I am very thankful for my family.
I am starting the new year with love, peace, and happiness. I hope all of you will, too.

All paper pieces cut with paper punches except February (Scalloped rectangle Nestabilitie).
Cut heart shape from Happiness paper and applied Glossy Accents on top.

Thanks for sharing your story. Living with in-laws (or anybody other than your immediate family) is difficult, I can only imagine! YIKES! Sorry you had such a terrible beginning of the year. But 2010 already started off nicely now that the rough patch has been acknowledged. Hope it only gets better from here! You’ve given me hope that one day, my arguments with the DH would be over –we are both very stressed as new parents and have said some hurtful things. Am hoping that we’ll soon get over it. Haha, for Christmas he bought me a gift certificate for TGF! He also knows paper crafting is my outlet!
anyway, very cute calendar! I enjoyed looking at what you came up with each month!

So glad things got better for you in 2009! Family really is so difficult sometimes, isn’t it? I love your handmade calendars and how refreshing to have the ‘happiness’ word to remind us.
