This is a toothpick holder.
I didn’t think I would participate this month’s Taylored Expressions Key Ingredients challenge. It was to create kitchen themed projects. Well, I didn’t know what to make. Didn’t think I would need to make anything for my kitchen.
Well, I was in the kitchen, and spotted a kid crafts pirate ship sitting on my messy dining room table. My husband bought it for my son which I paid for with his money. =) He put together the body, but never finished building it.

*sigh*
My house is messy. I stopped cleaning since I got married………. 7 years ago. Hehe. Well, I read somewhere that messy house can stimulate kids’ brains. Hmmm… Maybe I wrote that article. Heehee. My kids are going to be soooooo SMART!

Here is the pirate ship toothpick holder made with Taylored Expressions September Key Ingredients!

This pirate has some style~! Fabulous outfit! Face colored with Smooch.

Covered a plastic toy cup with brown cardstock. Distressed with file and Versamark ink pad. Added gold Smooch dots.

This girl sure loves bling blings!
Distressed. Painted with Smooch.
Treasured chest: Daddy’s Toolbox Template (small size - reduced it by 50%) by Kelleigh Ratzlaff Designs.

Ha! That’s for telling daddy that mommy bought more stamps!

Normally I’m very neat (yeah right!), but since this challenge is to use distressing, I was “forced” to make things messy. Hehe.
Used Modge Podge to glue the papers to the ship.

Oh, please~! You think I would feel bad for you? Me? I locked my daughter in a chest and tied my son to a gun powder barrel. You think I’ll be sympathetic!
Heehee.

Wait a minute! What is this??? Where are you taking me to!

Heeheehee… I won last month’s Key Ingredient challenge (random draw)! Woohoo! I wonder what goodies I’ll get! THANK YOU Taylor!

Oh well… I guess my kids are not going to Harvard after all.
=)
Thank you!!!
