Torendi – New Paper Crafting Store
I don’t like shopping (*gasp*) … for cloths, shoes, jewerly… But, I do LOVE shopping for arts and crafts supplies. I found out about a new online paper crafting store, TORENDI through Maren’s blog. It looks like a fun store to shop, and they have giveaways on their blog.
It’s Lucky Cat (Maneki Neko) sitting on the 3×3 album. My friend gave it to me last year when she was living in Japan. It brings good luck to business owners. So, GOOD LUCK to Torendi!

Shopaholic & Kids – Shopping Bag Mini Album
Kyle said Who’s That Girl stamp looks like me. I guess even he thinks I’m a shopaholic. Geez~, thanks~
Created for My Favortie Things Kit Challenge: More is More (I added a lot of photos =)
All supplies from the August 2009 Kit;
Pink cardstock: American Crafts;
Patterned papers: Basic Grey;
Coloring: Copics;

I totally copied the brads on the shopping bag idea from Christina.
Photos were taken at the Hershey Park 3 weeks ago.
I showed this 3×3 shopping bag album to Kyle, and he looked at me like, ‘What Happened in Hershey Stays in Hershy.’
Nah~ It was more like ‘Where are all other fun photos like swimming, riding, etc.???’ look.
Too bad!
Mommy likes to distort the facts and the real life stories must sacrifice for her stamps!
=)
Thanks~

Travel Backpack Birthday Favor
I’ve been brainstorming for Kyle’s birthday party idea since June. I’ve already booked a party at a moonbounce place and it’s about 1.5 month away. Since the birthday party place is far for most of our guests, I thought travel theme would be a great idea. I’ve already started making the invitation (Thanks, Stephanie!), so I’ll post it as soon as I’m done. =)
For the birthday favor, I wanted to make a faux leather luggage and fill it with goodies. But then, I thought a backpack would be a better idea for 5 year olds birthday party. I wasn’t going to start making the favors till October, but I saw 3D challenge (Pack-It-Up: Knapsack) on Paper Craft Planet, and thought I should head start on the project. This is just a draft (mock-up?) Hehe.
Brown lunch bag.
Patterned paper: Luxe Designs;

Eyelets: WeR Memory Keepers;
Ribbon: American Crafts;

Stamp: Purple Onion Designs “Homegrown Alphabet“;
Tried to get the embroidered look with puff/gel pens, but it looks more like zebra print to me, hehe.
Plan to personalize with our guests’ names.

Uh-oh~! I hope they don’t sue me for downloading the bottle image from their website. Hehe. I plan to put indivisually packaged water flavor powder stuff inside the flap.
OUTHOUSE~~~
Pee Ewwww~~~
Well… Everybody go potty, right? And, you do use public restrooms when you travel, right? Heehee.
Patterned paper: A Muse;

Put the brads from the back to create this door lock.

Stamp: Lizzie Anne Designs Little People, “Knight”. Punched the eyes out (heh?) with a hole punch.
Punch: Stampin’ Up! Round Tab. Hmmm… is it just me or does it look like a toilet seat? I think it’s just me. Hehe.
Font: Cloister Black (medieval font) from daFont.com. I couldn’t come up with funnier line. I’ll change to “Lady” instead of “Lord” for the girl guests.
Oh yeah… it’s a box for the moist wipe/wet towel. I believe it’s flushable. =)

Hot air balloon excursion! I don’t have any hot air balloon stamps, so I used a digi element instead.
“Playday” by Julie Bullock from Shabby Pickle Designs.

I’m still debating if I want to just make money clips (stiffened the ribbon and wrapped around the hair pin) or make wallets (And add chocolate gold coins).

Digital paper: “Aged Leathers” by Debra Tope Designs from Oscraps.
Faux stitching with Uni-ball Signo white pen;
Money template was downloaded from http://www.kidsmoneyfarm.com/templates.htm
Hmmm…. Would I want to make 20 + of these goodie bags????…

Normally, I spend about 3-4 hours creating one card. Some big projects usually take 2, 3 days. So, this has been the most challengest challenge that I’ve ever participated.
I received my very first Taylored Expressions‘ Key Ingredients today. And the KI challenge this month is to create 10 minutes cards. Well, I didn’t time myself, but I was able to manage making 4 cards quickly.
All supplies are from August 2009 Key Ingredients.
