An Accidental Photographer

Before I had kids, I never really liked to take photographs because I took bad photos. But thanks to digital camera AND Photoshop, I’ve gotten better =) I never thought I would get paid to take photos, but I did. Three weeks ago, I had my very first clients. They were celebrating 50th wedding anniversary! I wasn’t planning on becoming a proPassional photographer, but I’ve been taking a lot of photos of my son’s friends and was good about sharing all the photos with their parents. They appreciated it, and I felt obligated (hehe) to take better photos. So, I practiced and practiced and got better (if I do say so myself, heehee.)

It was a very challenging first job for an amateur like me. There were mirrors everywhere, and you know how dark inside the restaurants can be! I had to make sure not to take photos of my reflection on the mirror and bounce the flash like the below photo, heehee. Well, it was unintended, but I like how this one came out. I’ve wanted to photograph of me taking photos, and here I did it, ACCIDENTALLY =)

Here’s a mini album I made for them for letting me use their photos on my blog AND to thank my very first client.

All supplies from s.e.i Bridgeport and Oasis collections.

An envelope in the middle panel for me to put a DVD disk of their photos. I wanted to put more embellishments, but I already couldn’t close/fold the album.

Back panel.

Beautiful job on the photos and the holder! They’re going to love them!
